Terms and Conditions

1. General

• The COSMEX website is intended for individuals 18 years and over. By using the site, you confirm your age and agree to access and use it only for lawful purposes, without disrupting or damaging the website.

• By booking an appointment, consultation, or surgical procedure with COSMEX, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. All fees, deposits, and payments are subject to the policies outlined below.

• COSMEX operates in accordance with Australian law, and all medical decisions are made at the discretion of Dr. Sepehr Lajevardi and the clinic.

CONSULTATIONS

2. Consultation Bookings & Deposits

• Surgical Consultations:

  • Deposit: $100 to secure a surgery consultation.

  • Deposit is non-refundable, but may be held on file for future treatment if you do not proceed with the consultation.

  • Consultation fee covers the surgeon’s assessment only and does not guarantee suitability for surgery or a specific outcome.

• Non-Surgical Consultations / Treatments:

  • Deposit: $50 to secure your appointment.

  • Deposit is applied toward your treatment cost.

  • Unused deposits may be retained as credit for future treatment at management discretion.

3. Consultation Cancellation & Rescheduling

• 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a consultation.

• Cancellations with more than 48 hours’ notice: deposit may be transferred.

• Cancellations within 48 hours or no-shows: deposit is forfeited.

• Repeated late cancellations or non-attendance may result in refusal of future bookings.

SURGERY

​

4. Surgery Deposits

• Deposit: $1,000 to secure a surgery date.

• Deposits are deducted from the total surgical fee.

• Surgery is not confirmed until the deposit is received.

• In some cases, a reduced deposit may be offered at management discretion.

5. Surgery Payment Terms

• Remaining balances are due 6 weeks prior to surgery, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

• Failure to pay by the due date may result in cancellation.

6. Surgery Cancellation & Postponement

• Surgery involves theatre, hospital, and staff commitments; strict cancellation terms apply:

  • More than 4 weeks’ notice: deposit may be transferred to a new date

  • Within 4 weeks: deposit is forfeited

  • Less than 7 days: deposit is forfeited; additional hospital/anaesthetic fees may apply

• If surgery is cancelled due to medical reasons deemed unsafe by the surgeon, deposits may be transferred to a new date.

• Surgical outcomes are subjective; COSMEX makes no guarantees regarding personal satisfaction.

PROMOTIONS & SPECIAL OFFERS

7. Promotions

• Promotional pricing and offers are limited time only and subject to availability.

• Promotions cannot be combined with other discounts unless explicitly stated.

• Pre-payment is required to secure promotional pricing.

• Promotions apply only to new bookings paid in full during the offer period.

• Existing or pre-booked appointments are not eligible.

• Treatment packages purchased during promotions:

  • Are non-transferable

  • Cannot be shared

  • Must be used by the purchaser only unless stated otherwise

• COSMEX reserves the right to withdraw, amend, or extend any promotion at any time.

8. Gift Vouchers

• Valid for 12 months from date of purchase.

• Non-refundable, not redeemable for cash, and non-transferable.

• Must be presented at the time of treatment and used by one individual in a single visit.

• Lost or stolen vouchers will not be replaced.

• Vouchers cannot be combined with other promotions.

• Treatments are subject to suitability following consultation.

12. Right to Refuse Treatment

COSMEX reserves the right to refuse treatment at any time and for any reason, including:

• Treatment not clinically appropriate

• Patient considered unsuitable

• Safety or wellbeing of staff or other patients at risk

• Non-compliance with clinic policies or medical advice

All treatment decisions remain at the discretion of the treating practitioner and clinic management.

PAYMENT TERMS & STRIPE / CHARGEBACK POLICY

13. Payment Methods

• COSMEX accepts payment via credit card, direct transfer, or approved finance/payment plans (Stripe).

• Payment plans and deposits must be honoured according to agreed terms.

14. Chargeback & Payment Protection

• By using credit cards or online payment platforms (including Stripe), you agree to honour all charges related to your booking.

• COSMEX reserves the right to refuse future services or recover costs for any chargebacks or disputed payments.

• Patients disputing legitimate charges may be liable for associated recovery fees and legal costs.
